When

The ceremonies will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 9am, 1pm, 5pm and Friday, December 16th at 9am and 1pm . Degree candidates should report to the Live Oak Pavilion one hour before the beginning of the ceremony.

How

  • Graduates will receive an email invitation in their FAU mail account the week of Monday, October 10th, 2016.

  • Graduates must RSVP to the Registrar's Office by Sunday, October 30th, 2016 if they intend to participate in the ceremony.

  • Everyone should reply to the email whether or not they plan to attend the ceremony.


The Commencement Ceremony will last approximately two hours. In order to maintain an orderly and dignified ceremony, one that you and your fellow classmates will want to remember, all graduates and their guests are expected to be present for the entire ceremony. As you make your decision concerning your attendance at Commencement, please keep this in mind.
