Biography: Dr. Anita Pritchard received a Ph.D. in political science from the Ohio State University. Her scholarly research focuses primarily upon legislative politics at both the national and state level and state public policy, including abortion policy and criminal justice policy. She has published articles in a number of academic journals such as the American Journal of Political Science, Legislative Studies Quarterly, Social Science Quarterly, Congress and the Presidency, State and Local Government. Dr. Pritchard received two teaching awards, an Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, College of Social Science, and an Award in the Teaching Incentive Program. She was Chair of the Political Science Department from 1994-2003.
