Carpool Program starting this Summer - updated 4/14/09
We are in the process of installing the new signs designating parking spaces on the Boca Raton Campus as being reserved for Carpool Parking Only. There will be a total of 57 spaces located throughout the Boca Raton Campus reserved for Carpool Parking.
Although the program doesn't officially start until the beginning of the Summer Semester, we are installing the signs now so you can become familiar with the locations of the reserved parking. Initially, warnings will be issued to people who park in the carpool spaces without the appropriate permits. As we get closer to the start of the Summer Semester and the start of the program, violators may be issued a $50.00 citation for parking in a reserved spot.
The Carpool Registration website is also up and ready. Visit www.get2fau.com for more information about the carpool program and to register for your carpool permit. If you are interested in carpooling but don't have anyone to carpool with, our partners at South Florida Commuter Services can help. There is a free carpool matching service provided for FAU faculty, staff and students at www.get2fau.com as well.
Please contact Jim Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions about the carpool program.
Be sure to check out FAU's Mission Green home page to see what else FAU is doing to promote campus sustainability and how you can help.
