8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
You’ve made it through your first semesters at FAU, so, what is there to expect now?
The Parent’s Academy was created with parents of current students in mind.
We know that after the first semester of a student’s time at FAU, they (you) may come across new challenges. The Parent’s Academy is a peer-to-peer program featuring presentations & discussions with university administrators and current Owl Parent Association members. In this workshop, parents of all students can address challenges they have had and how they were able to solve them.
This will be your “cup of comfort” for the upcoming semester & is a great way to connect with your fellow Owl Parents!
The Parent’s Academy takes place on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
Topics will focus on issues such as an understanding of college academics / courses, dealing with the social life of college students, and what it means to be an adult in college. In addition, there will be ample time for questions and answers.
