Transfer Orientation Overview
All newly admitted Transfer students must complete a self-directed virtual orientation course on Canvas. We also encourage you to attend a live orientation (may be on campus or hosted on a virtual platform) to supplement the mandatory Canvas course.
You can learn how to make a reservation here. Once you pay for orientation, your orientation hold will be lifted.
Please note that advising is seperate from orientation, so we ask that you schedule an academic advising appointment as soon as possible. Please refer to the instructions in the "academic advising" module in the OwlDone portal.
Through the Canvas course and live orientation programs you will learn about services and resources that are essential to your success. The added benefit of the live experience is that you will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to current transfer students and support staff. The topics covered in orientation include:
- Academic Resources
- Career Resources
- Safety and Conduct
- Health and Wellness Resources
- Registration Policies
