Can I receive a refund for Orientation?
Yes, you can receive a refund for orientation. Our office must receive the request in writing either by mail or e-mail 10 days before your scheduled orientation in order to receive the refund. Yes, you can switch your orientation date by going back to your Orientation Reservation located in the Students tab of your myFAU account. Once there go to the dates section and select the new date you would like to attend. Make sure you save the changes made. The switch must be made at least 10 business days before your originally scheduled orientation date.
Can I switch my orientation date if it is 10 business days or less before my originally schedule orientation?
Yes, you can still switch your orientation date but you will have to repay. Also, your Orientation Reservation form will not allow you to switch the date. You will need to send an e-mail request to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting the switch.
Does my parent(s) have to attend orientation?
No, parents and/or legal guardians are not required to attend orientation. However, it is heavily suggested. We have a full parent orientation that occurs concurrently with the student's Freshman orientation.
