Videoconference Classrooms | Jupiter Campus

Jupiter Videocference

FAU has room standards based on the type of equipment assigned to the classrooms. These standards are used by the Registrar’s Office to effectively assign space based on the pedagogical needs of each instructor.

The term videoconference is used to define a telecommunication set of technologies which allow two (or more locations) to communicate by simultaneous two-way video and audio transmissions, thus enhancing the teaching and learning experience of the students located at different places.

Videoconference (VC) classrooms are rooms that contain the following equipment:

  • Network Drops
  • Electrical Outlets
  • Wireless Network Access
  • Teaching Podium
  • Networked Computer
  • Mounted Projector
  • Laptop Accommodations
  • Document Camera
  • Sympodium
  • Touch Panel Crestron Control System
  • Video Conference Equipment

Overall, there are 3 videoconference classrooms at the Jupiter campus, distributed among the Student Resources (SR) building.
