Matthew R. Marshall is an adjunct instructor for the Music Marketing and Public Relations course at FAU, and the current Marketing Director for The Miami Symphony Orchestra.  Mr. Marshall has worked in the marketing departments for The FJH Music Company in Fort Lauderdale, and the New World Symphony on Miami Beach when they opened the first Frank Gehry-designed building in Florida, the New World Center, in January, 2011.         

Mr. Marshall is an active soloist, chamber and ensemble musician, with recent engagements at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, New World Center, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center, among others.  He has performed with The Miami Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Eduardo Marturet, as well as the New World Symphony, Miami Lyric Opera, South Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony of the Americas and the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra, to name a few.  Outside of classical music, Mr. Marshall has also performed with the legendary Johnny Mathis, the rock band Alan Parsons Project, and in the touring Broadway production of Mary Poppins.

Mr. Marshall holds a Master of Music Business degree from the University of Miami, a Master's in Music Performance from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor's of Music from the University of Louisville.  He is an active teacher and music educator, having taught privately within the Miami-Dade and Broward counties for over eight years, and has instructed various music camps and festivals throughout the summers.  A native of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Mr. Marshall currently resides in Coral Gables, Florida.
