The FAU Community Garden is Finally HERE

Here is your chance to get an hands on experience on growing your own food. The FAU Garden during the 2011-2012 year will begin as a 10 bed pilot program where any FAU students, faculty, or organization can grow in these beds. All beds are to be properly maintained and abide by the Community Garden Guidelines. Each bed will consist of a yearly membership (non-refundable) of $20, which includes water costs, tool rentals, soil, and organic pesticides.

The FAU Community Garden will be using all organic fertilizers, soil, and seeds and abide to sustainable practices. The Community Garden will also be equipped with drip irrigation in all beds to conserve water and ensure that this garden will have a low carbon footprint.

Mission Green is extremely excited to be a part of this new movement of urban gardening. Our goal is to educate students, faculties, and staff about the importance of organic produce and sustainable practices. We hope you will take advantage of this awesome opportunity and send us an  email  if you are interested in volunteering or learning how you can get involve d
