BOCA RATON, FL (November 14, 2011) – Florida Atlantic University will host the following events:
'Mythica,' an Exhibition of Paintings and Sculpture at FAU's MacArthur Campus Library
The free exhibition runs through Friday, December 16, at FAU's John D. MacArthur Campus Library Gallery, 5353 Parkside Drive, Jupiter. For more information,call 561-799-8530 or visit www.library.fau.edu/npb/npb.htm .
"Mythica" is an exhibition of paintings and sculpture by California artist Cheryl Tall. The art is inspired by ancient art, travel, mythology, stone carvings, Etruscan ceramics and German expressionism paintings. The library's hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
Pine Jog Environmental Education Center Hosts an "Observing Nature" Fall Workshop
Three workshop sessions will take place on Saturday, December 3, 10 and 17, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the Pine Jog Environmental Education Center, 6301 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach. For more information, contact Kristi Moyer at 561-686-6600 or email@example.com .
Students in this new fall workshop series will create 2-D and 3-D mixed media artwork that emphasizes color, texture, and patterns in nature, using sketchbooks to capture the natural, outdoor beauty of Pine Jog. Classes are open to all students, grades 3-5. Cost is $90.
