FAU to Host 2012 State of the University Address

BOCA RATON, Fla. (September 4, 2012) – Florida Atlantic University President Mary Jane Saunders will deliver the 2012 State of the University address, themed “FAU 2012: Celebrating a Year of Firsts, Building Community,” on Thursday, September 6, at 10 a.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center Auditorium, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton Campus.

In her address, Saunders will recall FAU’s historic year of welcoming the largest student body in its history, including the University’s first class of medical students, and the completion of the 30,000-seat FAU Stadium. She will also talk about the University’s exciting future, including its growth as a leading center of education, research, creative activities and community engagement. Saunders will be introduced by FAU Board of Trustees Chair Robert Stilley.

Press seating will be available. In addition, there will be an opportunity for media interviews with the president immediately following the address.
