FAU and The Coca-Cola Company Celebrate New Partnership

BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 10, 2014) – Florida Atlantic University and The Coca-Cola Company have entered into a new 10-year partnership. The agreement provides students with internships and career opportunities and makes Coca-Cola the exclusive beverage provider across all FAU campuses, sites and athletic facilities.

“We’re thrilled about our new partnership with Coca-Cola,” said Stacy Volnick, FAU’s vice president of executive operations and chief of staff. “This mutually beneficial relationship expands and enhances the beverages offered across our campuses while providing our students new internship and career opportunities.”

To commemorate the partnership, FAU and Coca-Cola will feature two days of activities that include Coca-Cola products sampling, activities and games, recycling education and giveaways for students and staff.  In addition, the Coca-Cola Freestyle Truck, which, features three Coca-Cola Freestyle fountains that provide more than 120 customizable flavors, will be on campus along with the Dasani College Tour recycling display. The celebration activities occur on Wednesday, March 12 and Thursday, March 13.

Below is a schedule with time and locations:

  • Wednesday, March 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Free Speech lawn area west of the College of Design and Social Inquiry, FAU Boca Raton campus.
  • Thursday, March 13, from noon to 2 p.m., at The Green, 3200 College Ave., Davie campus.
  • Thursday, March 13, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the field adjacent to dining hall, 5353 Parkside Dr., John D. MacArthur Campus, Jupiter.     

On Jan. 1, Coca-Cola became the exclusive vendor for all carbonated and non-carbonated beverages, juices, water and energy drinks throughout all FAU locations. Coca-Cola will also participate in on-campus student engagement programs, athletic game-day events, marketing programs and other University-wide functions. In addition, select vending machines will accept credit cards and Coca- Freestyle machines will be added to the campus.
