FAU to Present ‘GUN’ Film Screening and Discussion

BOCA RATON, Fla. (February 7, 2013) – Florida Atlantic University’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters School of Communication and Multimedia Studies and the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice will present a screening and discussion of a film titled “GUN” on Monday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Living Room Theaters, Culture and Society Building, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

“GUN,” an official selection of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, is a 17-minute documentary that features the story of how buying a handgun unravels the complex fabric of a new gun owner’s humanity, as the main character’s good intentions give way to darker tendencies. Spencer Gillis, the film’s director, will lead a discussion following the film.
