FAU Jupiter and the Lifelong Learning Society Present a Local Government Debate
JUPITER, FL (October 17, 2008) - Florida Atlantic University and the Lifelong Learning Society of Jupiter will host a local political debate on Thursday, October 30 at 6 p.m. in the Lifelong Learning Auditorium at the John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Drive, Jupiter.
The debate will feature Representative Carl Domino and Bryan Miller, who are candidates for State Representative, District 83, and Patricia Walker and Tom Warwick, who are running for Jupiter Inlet Commission, District 5. Alan Gray, president of the FAU-Jupiter Debate Club, will moderate.
This is the first local government debate that the FAU-Jupiter Debate Club will organize and moderate. Recently, club members placed in the informative, impromptu and persuasive speaking categories at the Child of the Sun Invitational Competition at Florida Southern College in Lakeland.
The event is free for the public. Light refreshments will be served after the event.
