FAU Hosts Alumni Event at Riverside Theater
VERO BEACH, FL (April 5, 2007)- Florida Atlantic University alumni are invited to a comedic performance of Blithe Spirit and a reception at the all new Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach on Thursday, April 19. The reception begins at 7 p.m. and will be followed immediately by the show at 8 p.m. Complimentary tickets are available to the first 200 FAU alumni who respond (limit four per person). This event marks the beginning of an Indian River County FAU alumni chapter and regional professional network.
“Written by Noel Coward, Blithe Spirit is a hilarious comedy filled with unexpected twists and turns. “We are excited to partner with Riverside Theater for this important alumni gathering,” said Annie Boehning, FAU director of development and Lifelong Learning for the Treasure Coast region. “Guests can network and be a part of launching the new Indian River County chapter, while enjoying this entertaining play on Riverside Theatre’s new stage.”
Riverside Theatre, established in 1973, recently opened its new facility equipped with a larger, more accessible audience chamber, a new second stage, a spacious lobby with elevator, a benefactors’ lounge, catering facilities and other patron amenities. “We are celebrating new beginnings together,” said Oscar Sales, Riverside’s marketing director and FAU graduate.
The FAU National Alumni Association (FAUNAA) founded in 1968, is an organization that keeps alumni and friends connected to FAU, and helps preserve the history and traditions of the university.
