FAU Presents Artist Public Lecture with Jamie Baldridge
BOCA RATON, FL (March 24, 2010) – Florida Atlantic University’s department of visual arts and art history presents photographer Jamie Baldridge with a lecture on Thursday, April 8 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Building, room 101 on FAU’s Boca Raton campus. This will be followed by a workshop with the artist on Saturday, April 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Visual Arts Center, room 115, on the Boca Raton campus. The lecture is free and open to the public. The workshop is $50 for the general public and $15 for FAU students. Reservations are required for the workshop and can be made by calling 561-297-3870.
Baldridge earned his MFA in photography at Louisiana State University. He is currently a professor of photography at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Baldridge’s work and writings can be found in many collections, including the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Cornell University, the Rhode Island Institute of Technology and many private collections. His first book, The Everywhere Chronicles, has just been released by 21 st Editions.
