FAU Marketing Class Shifts Chevrolet Marketing Internship Program into High Gear
BOCA RATON, FL (March 30, 2007) – Florida Atlantic University and Chevrolet have joined together to offer a marketing internship to a group of 27 FAU students who are enrolled in Professor Bob Ciraldo’s event marketing class this semester.
ImaginAuto, the student-run marketing agency, will host a campus event on Tuesday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the residential barbecue pit located near the residence halls on FAU’s Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. At the event, ImaginAuto will publicize and promote the Chevrolet Cobalt and Aveo, on behalf of Maroone Chevrolet of Delray.
“It has been a huge task for our class and a great learning experience,” said Kristina Anderson, a student of the class. “Our class hopes to reach thousands of people and raise the awareness of the Chevrolet brand, as well as the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and Aveo.”
Maroone Chevrolet of Delray donated $2,500 to ImaginAuto to enable the team to effectively advertise and promote the on-campus event. The class divided themselves into the following departments: advertising, campaign implementation, public relations, research, published reports, and finance. The students educated themselves on each model of the vehicles and conducted surveys on what FAU students most desire when purchasing a new car.
Along with models of the Cobalt and Aveo on display, there will be free food, games, prizes, and music for all FAU students, faculty, staff and the general public.
