“Perceptions of Beauty,” a collection of digital photographs by Michael Metzner, will feature an extraordinary collection of 17 th and 18 th century hand-painted fans and Metzner’s photographic interpretations. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. An opening night reception will be held on Thursday, February 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and valet parking will be provided. Metzner graduated from Wellington Christian School in 2008 and is currently pursuing a degree in liberal arts and sciences with a concentration in bio-chemistry from FAU’s Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College. He received the “Home Grown Artist” award in 2009 from the ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival. He was a finalist in Nikon’s College Photography Competition, which published one of his photographs in Best of College Photography 2009.
The Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, located on FAU’s John D. MacArthur Campus, is a four-year residential liberal arts & science college for high achieving undergraduates.
