FAU Celebrates Engineering Week Mardi Gras Style

            BOCA RATON , FL (February 20, 2007) – Florida Atlantic University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science is celebrating Engineering Week Mardi Gras style as part of National Engineers week.   The main event will be held on Wednesday, February 21, from noon until 3 p.m. in the Live Oak Pavilion, FAU’s Boca Raton campus.

            This annual event is held to increase awareness of the engineering profession, and to showcase the accomplishments and contributions engineers make in society. The college will showcase engineering student projects, and new and existing programs. Engineering student club representatives will be available to answer questions, and a student designed video game will be used in one of the event competitions. Wednesday’s activities will also include carnival games, music, prizes, free food and drinks.
