The United Way of Broward County and FAU students, faculty and staff joined forces for a day of service to the community earlier this year through the annual Day of Caring Project. This year, volunteers spent the day painting and landscaping at Griffin Gardens, a senior housing development in Davie. “Projects such as this bring the FAU family together to show pride and involvement in our community,” says Willie A. Miller, Jr., FAU’s coordinator of alumni relations in Broward. “Volunteer activities, in addition to other kinds of events, are a great way to reconnect alumni with their FAU roots.”
