FRENCH FETE: DUO TURGEON PRESENTS FRENCH
MASTERWORKS FOR TWO PIANOS

Anne Louise and Edward Turgeon

DESCRIPTION: French Fete is a celebration of Anne Louise-Turgeon and Edward Turgeon’s 15th anniversary as the award-winning piano duo “Duo Turgeon”. The Turgeons will bring some sumptuous French Music to the LLS stage including works by Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Reynaldo Hahn and others. Along with performances, The Turgeons will include engaging and informative written and spoken information regarding all of the works performed.

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Anne Louise-Turgeon and Edward Turgeon have been together since 1988. Hailed by critics as “one of the top duos of our time” (La Scena Musicale), the duo has taken first prizes in the world’s most prestigious international music competitions for piano duos. They have been heard in all major U.S. and Canadian radio markets, NPR’s Performance Today, CBC, ABC (Australia), Dutch Public Radio and the PBS documentary, Two Pianos—One Passion. Their seven CDs have resulted in Artist of the Month and Classical CD of the Year awards from CBC. Their many performances have taken them to Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, and as far away as Siberia!
