DESCRIPTION: For more than
80 years the Foreign Policy Association has sought to educate Americans about
the foreign policy process and the range of challenges confronting its political
leaders. Great Decisions is an annual series that examines eight critical
foreign policy issues, the topics being selected by the Foreign Policy Association.
Each of the eight lectures includes background information, current American
policy, and foreign policy options for the United States. The Great Decisions
handbook, which includes mini-chapters on each of the eightcourse topics,
can be purchased by visiting www.greatdecisions.org.

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Dr. Jeffrey
Morton is Professor of International Law and Politics in the Department
of Political Science and is the author of three books and numerous journal
articles. Since 1994, he has taught international relations courses at
Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Recipient of the 2012 Foreign Policy
Association Medal, Dr. Morton is Director of the FAU Diplomacy Program.
