Ilaria Serra was born in Venice, Italy. She is an associate professor of Italian and Comparative Studies. She earned her Ph.D. at Florida Atlantic University. Her research covers Italian cinema, Italian literature, Italian song and the history of Italian immigration to the United States. She also leads the FAU Study Abroad Program in Venice, Italy [click here for promo video] where she also teaches the course “Venice and Its Reflections” [ click here for course video ].”
