JESUS

My journey began in September 2011 when I decided to come to the United States and take English classes at the Intensive English Institute at FAU. Since my English was literately poor, I had to take English classes from Level 1 to Level 5. Due to the magnificence of my teachers and their help, I was able to pass the TOEFL test while I was taking Level 4. It made me realized how good my English had gotten in just a year and a half. I finally felt that I was ready for something bigger.

Since I had already received my bachelor degree as a Systems Engineer in Venezuela, I decided to go for a Master Degree, which I am about to complete. Hopefully, in two months I will be finishing my classes and getting a Master Degree in Communications and Media with double specialization in Mass Communication and Digital Media at Lynn University in Boca Raton. Moreover, I have been working as a Data Entry clerk at the Office of Alumni and Affairs at Lynn University for about 10 months.

I am telling you all of this just because I remember when I got here and everything seemed to be really hard to do. You must know that there is an entire world out there full of opportunities waiting for you to take them if you are willing enough. You just need to believe it and work hard. I have already lived what most of you are living right now. Therefore, I remember how frustrating it was at the beginning when my English was so bad that I couldn’t even explain myself. My advice for you is to try to find a way to make these days more enjoyable with your classmates and teachers because you will wish to be back there when you get here.
