We offer four distinct language programs:
ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES (ACADEMIC TRACK)
During this intensive program, students are immersed in English language learning through an innovative curriculum and participation in a wide variety of university events and activities. Ideal for students who are looking to further their proficiency or plan to continue their studies at FAU or beyond.
The Academic Track provides students with:
· A full-time 6-level program of study (20 hours per week)
· The Academic Track Bridge Program ( a full-term session which provides conditional admission to FAU degree programs)
This program is eligible for F-1 or J-1 study. The I-20 or DS-2019 can be issued to qualified students for full-time study.
These courses are designed for learners who wish to develop practical, everyday language skills in an intensive setting.
This program is a part-time program and not eligible for an I-20. Other visa classifications may be eligible. Please contact us for specific information.
COMMUNITY ESL AND ESP (ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES)
These courses are designed for learners who work during the day and wish to study in the evenings or on Saturdays. Courses include General English for Communication and Grammar as well as specialized courses in Business English, TOEFL Preparation, Advanced Conversational English, and Accent Reduction. A student visa is not provided or required for these courses.
These courses create learning experiences that meet the specific needs of a group of participants. Our customized courses can be designed to serve the needs of: High School and College Students, Teachers and Faculty, Business Professional and Healthcare Workers.
