Admission to FAU through the Intensive English Institute

Intensive English Track students who begin the program in any of our levels (1-5) may find that they would like to extend their studies by earning a degree at FAU.

Conditional Admission Track

Conditional admission is the status given to qualified students who fulfill all admission requirements except for those related to English language ability. Intensive English Track students who are committed to attending FAU and wish to have conditional admission status are encouraged to move to the Intensive English Institute's Conditional Admission Track (formerly called the PAR program).

Qualified students apply to the Conditional Admission Track and to FAU simultaneously and are given conditional admission to FAU. IEI students on the Conditional Admission Track continue to improve their academic/professional English level in all language subjects, learn valuable cultural information to support their acclimation to the academic world of FAU and the U.S., and acquire research and presentation skills necessary for success at the university level. In the second level of the Conditional Admission Track, students also take a credit-bearing course which will count toward their degree at FAU.
