Extra-curricular Activities

Students may attend field trips to one of South Florida's many attractions, such as the Norton Museum, Vizcaya, the West Palm Beach Courthouse, and the Historical Museum of Southern Florida. In addition, holiday-themed celebrations are held throughout the year to introduce students to cultural events in the United States. These field trips and parties give students opportunities to experience American culture and the chance to practice English outside of the classroom with their classmates and instructors in a real-life setting.

For sports enthusiasts, we offer a men’s soccer team and co-ed volleyball team. The IEI Soccer Team practices once a week on campus and often plays a competitive match against students in our sister English programs at the University of Miami and Florida International University. The volleyball team currently has reserved court time three times a semester at the beautiful MAC Gym on campus. These activities keep our students fit and give them greater opportunities to interact in English.
