Mission Statement
The Instructional Design Department fosters the pedagogic integration of technology into the design of teaching and learning processes through collaborative efforts with faculty and other instructional technology personnel. It is where teaching, learning and technology intersect to meet the rapidly changing educational, social and economical environments in today’s global society.
Goals

Empower faculty, other instructional staff and students to use technology to enhance teaching and learning through instructional design principles

Honor the diverse teaching and learning philosophies of faculty and students respectively

Support the integration of all relevant student services within the online learning environment

Serve as a guide for adherence to ADA compliance in online education

Provide a model for appropriate and innovative instructional design to support teaching and learning

Participate in scholarly research relating to instructional design

Evaluate emerging technologies and educational research for their pedagogic applications
