Student Employment Job Posting Instructions

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR ON-CAMPUS POSTINGS ONLY. IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY AND WISH TO POST JOB POSTINGS FOR OFF-CAMPUS JOBS, PLEASE CONTACT THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE AT 561-297-3680.

To post available student positions, use the following steps:

  • Go to https://jobs.fau.edu/hr and log in using your username and password.  Under Create Posting, click on Faculty/Student posting.

  • You will be brought to a page titled “Create Faculty/Student Posting from a Template”. Click Create under the Student Classification.

  • Complete the posting details and Guest User tabs.

  • Electronically forward your posting request through your department including Dean/Director and Provost/Vice-President levels if required. The final approver will electronically submit the Posting to Student Employment.

  • Student Employment staff will review the posting and then post the position. An e-mail will be sent when the position has been posted.

  • Either during the posting period or after the posting period has closed, the hiring department will review each application and interview applicants.

  • Once a candidate has been identified for the position, send an e-mail to Student Employment with the name of the hired student.  Student Employment will change the status for all of the applicants and designate the position as filled.

Additional Information

  • If the selected student has never worked for the university as a student employee before, they will have to complete the sign-in process at: Just Hired. New student employees will also have to complete employment paperwork in the Student Employment office.

  • A Student Appointment Form or an E-PAF will have to be submitted for Continuing students.
