Versatile and accomplished American writer, Joyce Carol Oates, has penned many books, bestselling novels, critically acclaimed collections of short fiction, as well as essays, plays, poetry, a memoir, “A Widow’s Story,” and an unlikely bestseller, “On Boxing.” She is the Roger S. Berlind Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at Princeton University, and since 1978, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Best known for her fiction, Oates’ novels include "them," which won the National Book Award; "Blonde," a bold reimagining of the inner life of Marilyn Monroe; "The Falls," which won the France’s Prix Femina; and "We Were the Mulvaneys," which follows the disintegration of an American family and which become a bestseller after being selected by Oprah’s Book Club. Book-signing will follow lecture.

Her work has been featured in The Miami Herald, the Washington Post, The Oprah Magazine, the Today Show and more.

Engel Patricia Engel

Patricia Engel is the author of "Infinite Country," a New York Times Bestseller, Reese’s Book Club pick, Esquire Book Club, Amazon Best Book of the Month, and more. She currently teaches at the University of Miami.

silverberg Ayse Papatya Bucak

Ayse Papatya Bucak is the author of, "The Trojan War Museum," her debut story collection influenced by her Turkish-American heritage. She is an associate professor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and a contributing editor for the journal Copper Nickel.
