University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio: Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology
University of Arizona: Post Doctoral Fellow, Arizona Research Laboratories
University of Toronto: Post Doctoral Fellow, Department of Physiology

Dr. Macleod investigates mechanisms that influence neurotransmitter release from nerve terminals, and the impact of age and disease on these mechanisms.  The National Institutes of Health (NIH; http://www.nih.gov) and the National Science Foundation (NSF; http://www.nsf.gov) fund his research into the roles of mitochondria and pH homeostasis in neurotransmission. Dr. Macleod teaches Cell Biology (PCB4102) in the Spring semester.  In the Summer he teaches an intensive Neurobiology course at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (http://www.cshl.edu).
