Joel Vander Horst

Director of Admissions and Enrollment

My role is to lead the WHC Admissions office in all recruitment efforts. Our team guides prospective students through the application process, collaborates with internal/external constituents in the planning and execution of open houses, high school visits/college fairs, and creates awareness of the many opportunities available on our campus.

I love our students for many reasons but I have been particularly impressed with the level of involvement and genuine interest they have for one another and the rest of the Wilkes Honors College community. Our students, faculty and staff, create an environment that is intimate, welcoming, and diverse.

Most of my time outside of work is spent with my wife and our two wonderful children. I addition, some of my personal interests include traveling, music, food, sports and spending time with friends.
