My current research interests are science education and educational assessment. I am interested in understanding how students in the STEM disciplines grapple with the three domains of scientific knowledge, the macroscopic, the sub-microscopic, and the symbolic. As a chemist, I have 25+ years of experience as a materials scientist working in the public and private sectors.
