SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26
Homecoming Day of Service 7:30 a.m.
Join the FAU family for a day of service in the community.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27
Homecoming 5k Run/Walk 5:00 p.m.
Get your fitness on with the FAU Community along the certified 5k course through the Boca Raton campus. Proceeds from the race go to the FAU Center for Autism & Related Disabilities. Registration for the Homecoming 5K is available through www.active.com .
HOMECOMING 5K RUN/WALK
COURSE: 5K certified course through the Boca Raton Campus; course begins at the FAU Track & Field Complex on the northwest side of campus. 5K Run/Walk is timed by Accuchip Timing
RACE START TIME: 5:15 p.m.
AWARDS: Top three (3) Male/Female overall;
Top three (3) in five-year age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24...to 70+
COST: $10 - Under 18
$25 - Pre-registration (until 10/14)
$30 - After 10/15
ONE-MILE FUN RUN/WALK
COURSE: One-mile fun run around the FAU Track
START TIME: 6:15 p.m.
AWARDS: Run is non-competitive, medals
COST: $10 - 15 and Over
$5 - 14 and Under
T-SHIRTS: Guaranteed for all pre-registered participants
COURSE: Free kids run. Ages 8 and under on the FAU Track after one-mile run.
START TIME: 6:30 p.m.
AMENITIES: T-shirts guaranteed to all pre-registered participants of 5K and One Mile Run/Walk. There will be a bounce house and slide for the kids and food and drinks for all participants.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30
Talon Awards 6:30 p.m.
FAU celebrates its 17th Annual Talon Awards Ceremony during Homecoming 2013. Since 1997, the Talon Award Ceremony has recognized outstanding leaders from the community, alumni, faculty and student body. The Talon Awards is by invitation only. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31
Homecoming Comedy Show 8:00 p.m.
The Comedy Show has been a part of Homecoming since the beginning. Comedy Central Presents comes to campus for this year's Homecoming featuring John Mulaney, Kevin Barnett and Josh Rabinowitz. The Homecoming Comedy Show is only open to current FAU students, but 100 tickets will be held aside specifically for FAU alumni. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership at 561-297-3735. Each alumni will be able to reserve two tickets.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1
Fall Family Fest 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Start the weekend with music and rides, face painting, circus performers and lots of entertainment for the whole family right outside of the FAU Stadium. Mingle with alumni, students, faculty and staff.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2
Homecoming Parade 3 hours prior to Kick-Off
2013 marks the first Homecoming year where the Homecoming Parade will be held on Game Day! The parade will begin 3 hours prior to Kick-Off and the route will travel through the popular tailgate areas on campus. We anticipate over 60 entries in this year’s parade including student organization floats, decorated golf carts, specialty cars and motorcycles, walking units, as well as several marching bands. This is truly a community event on FAU’s Boca Raton campus and we are excited to host FAU students, alumni, faculty, staff and the Boca Raton community, as well as their families, at this traditional parade.
