HBOI Radlidar

November 5-6, 2018

The Recent ADvances in LIDAR (RAD-LIDAR) Conference aims to bring together an interdisciplinary group of scientists to exchange ideas and results on theoretical, technical developments, and applications in the field of laser light scattering in the presence of scattering media. The first RAD-LIDAR workshop was held in 2016 at INO in Quebec, and is intended to be an extension of the MUSCLE (MUltiple SCattering Lidar Experiments) workshops that were held biennially, and a follow-on to NURC-Lidar Observation of Optical and Physical Properties workshop.

Main themes of the workshop include, but are not limited to:

    •  Light scattering by spherical and non-spherical particles
    • Inverse problems for diagnostics of scattering media in various applications of physics and technology
    • Active imaging, ranging, and detection through turbid media
    • Lidar systems and applications (atmospheric, oceanographic, automotive, etc)
    • Workshop limited to 36 participants
    • Registration fee includes a continental  breakfast and lunch both days, and dinner first day.
