Fraternity & Sorority Recruitment at FAU
Membership in a fraternity or sorority is through a mutual selection process, known as recruitment or intake. Participating in recruitment or intake provides an excellent opportunity to meet people and learn more about the fraternity and sorority community but in no way requires you to join a chapter.
If you are an incoming freshman, you will have an opportunity to meet with our Fraternity & Sorority Ambassadors during your Orientation. They can answer any questions you have and give you all the information you need to get involved.
Join us at the Get Wow'd Activities Fair on Sunday, August 21st, 2016 to check out and meet all of FAU's fraternities and sororities.
We are hosting Meet the Greeks on August 23rd, 2016 in the Barry Kaye Auditorium in the Student Union, an additional opportunity to learn more about how to get involved in Greek life and meet the chapters in our Greek community.
Please fill out the form below if you wish to be notified of upcoming events and opportunities to meet Greek students and learn more about the recruitment/intake process:
Here is specific information on each councils' Recruitment/Intake:

College Panhellenic Association
Formal Recruitment is a week long event that uses a formalized process to select new members each August/September. At Florida Atlantic University, the 6 Panhellenic sororities participate in Formal Recruitment that is hosted by the College Panhellenic Association on our campus.
Dates of Fall 2016 Formal Recruitment: Friday, August 26th, 2016 - Friday, September 2, 2016 Register here
Formal recruitment gives you the opportunity to meet and really get to know each of the 6 sororities, learn more about sorority life in campus, and make that final decision on which sorority is right for you. By signing up for Recruitment you are not obligated to join a sorority, but will be provided a chance to know much more about all the sororities on campus.
During Formal Recruitment, you will be guided and assisted by sorority women, known as Recruitment Counselors, who have disaffiliated from their sorority to assist with Recruitment. The Recruitment Counselors, along with the Panhellenic Executive Board, organize recruitment and are there to guide you throughout the week to help and assist you in making the week as successful as possible.
After each day, you will be asked to narrow down your choices and the sororities will be narrowing down their choices as well. Panhellenic Recruitment provides for a mutual selection process that benefits both the women and the sororities at the same time. We have an exciting process at Florida Atlantic University and look forward to seeing you throughout the week and working with you.
In the spring semester, some CPA sororities may recruit new members if they have open spots in their chapter. You may contact each individual sorority to find out if they are recruiting in the spring by emailing their President or Recruitment Chairman (contact info found on their chapter page).
You can learn more about the Recruitment process by visiting CPA's website, http://www.faupanhellenic.org or by contacting the College Panhellenic Association's Vice President of Recruitment, Karla Jagodinski, at firstname.lastname@example.org
