With the Florida Prepaid College Plan, you don't have to worry about the stock market or if you will have enough money saved. What you pay now is financially guaranteed§ by the State of Florida.

If you are receiving both BRIGHT FUTURES and Florida Prepaid College Plan:
Students living OFF-CAMPUS can expect to receive a refund. You will not have to pay local fees because it will be deducted from the combination of the Bright Futures and Florida Prepaid. Bright Futures will be applied to your student account first and the Florida Prepaid will be posted approximately two weeks after the drop/add period. Students will receive a refund for the amount that exceeds your tuition.
Students living ON-CAMPUS should deduct the Bright Futures scholarship and the Florida Prepaid contribution from the total charges (Fee Payment).
IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that the Bright Futures amount listed on your student account summary is an ESTIMATED figure. Please see the charts below for the EXACT amounts based on the number of credits that you are enrolled for the semester (after the drop/add deadline):
