Native American Month Celebration
Friday, Nov. 14, Noon to 1 p.m.
West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Room 4b-292
This year theme is serving with Honor, Pride and Devotion. We have collaborated with our Native Americans neighbors such as the Catherine “Hummingbird” Ramirez, Historical Society of Palm Beach County, Florida Black Historical Research Project and Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists to kick off our celebration. We will focus on educating our veterans and staff through these organizations using a 5-10 minutes presentation of their significance. I plan to have coconut water as one of the natural drinks to show off the authenticity of the culture etc…. Our committee members will be wearing and demonstrating some of the significances of the cultures and/or tribes.
