Workplace
fire Safety guidelines and regulations are primarily derived from the National
Fire Protection Association's Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) and the
Occupational Safety & Health Administration's (OSHA) regulations contained
in Title 29, Part 1910, Subpart E of the Code of Federal Regulations. These
regulations apply to buildings and work areas and provide basic requirements
for the protection of property and life and the prevention of fires and
explosions. OSHA requires employers to have a Fire Prevention Plan and to
inform their employees of fire hazards to which they are exposed upon initial
assignment to their jobs.
Fire Prevention and Emergency Evacuation training has been developed to comply with the above regulations and guidelines. Employees will learn about the Fire Prevention Plan and Emergency Evacuation Procedures of their work place, understand the threat and power of fire, and learn fire prevention tips. This class includes hands on Fire Extinguisher Training.
