Chart of Accounts
Florida Atlantic University has begun an initiative to restructure the coding within the Banner System. Led by the Offices of Financial Affairs and Information Technology, and assisted by experts at Ellucian, this aggressive project will result in the revising of the Banner codes and hierarchies of the Fund, Organization, Account, Program, Activities, Location (FOAPAL) and the Chart of Accounts (COA). The changes are scheduled to be fully implemented by July 1, 2014.
The University is currently looking at a new ERP system, a product called Workday. The University is in the beginning stages of evaluating this product and is looking at replacing Banner Finance and HR to start. No decisions have been made at this time. Updates regarding Workday will be provided on the COA website once they are available. Questions regarding Workday may be directed to either Stacey Semmel, Assistant VP for Financial Affairs and University Controller, email@example.com or Jason Ball, Associate VP and CIO, firstname.lastname@example.org.
