Career Certificate Program

In order to support the professional development of FAU students, the Career Center offers the Career Certificate Program. The program accepts students year round and obtaining the certificate is easy. The program assists students in becoming career ready and to be more successful in the job and internship market.

Benefits:

  • Learn to craft an effective résumé, develop interviewing and networking skills, create a LinkedIn profile and attend events to interact with prominent employers for jobs and internships

  • Receive a formal printed certificate and padfolio

  • Participate in a résumé book exclusively for CCP participants, and be spotlighted in Owl CareerLink as a preferred candidate

  • Exclusive access to the FAU Professional Clothes Closet

Obtaining the Certificate:

  1. Have an approved résumé uploaded into Owl CareerLink

  2. Schedule an appointment with the Career Center to conduct a mock interview

  3. Attend at least three eligible career events (i.e. Career Fairs, workshops, and career panels)

  4. Create a LinkedIn profile that contains a professional photo, education information, brief summary and at least one experience

All items must be completed within one year, requirements must not exceed a year or they must be redone

A: All currently enrolled FAU undergraduate and graduate students.
A: No, this is completely free! This program does not include academic credits or a transcript notation.
A: For a list of eligible events, please visit Owl CareerLink. Under Career Events, when you click the event it will be noted as *CCP Eligible*
A: In your Owl CareerLink profile, you will be able to track your progress under my activity. Please note that your résumé and all career events must not exceed one year to be eligible.
A: After you complete the final survey and your responses are validated, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with instructions on how to pick up your certificate and padfolio.
