Art History (ERS)

Students of this discipline will study a broad range of art forms from cultures throughout all periods of history. Art historians analyze societies and people through the interpretation and understanding of art. Since art is often the only thing that a culture or people have left behind, this field is appealing to students who have a wide range of interests. Many students will go on to work in museums, galleries or within areas of cultural interests while others may choose to attend graduate or professional schools in a wide variety of disciplines.
