Over 300 registered student groups, clubs, fraternities, sororities, and leadership teams, such as the Student Government Program Board and the Council of Student Organizations, at Florida Atlantic University offer employers an opportunity to make contacts with a targeted group of students. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), third-party employers are defined as agencies, organizations, or individuals recruiting candidates for temporary, part-time, or full-time employment opportunities other than for their own needs. This includes entities that refer or recruit for profit or not for profit, and it includes agencies that collect student information to be disclosed to employers for purposes of recruitment and employment.

If you would like to register as a Third-Party Employer with the FAU Career Center your organization must adhere to our guidelines, policies, and national best practices procedures listed above and described on the FAU Recruitment Policies and National Association of College’s and Employers (NACE) Principles for Professional Practice.
In order to register and recruit FAU students and alumni you must register through Handshake. Please follow the steps below:

Handshake is FAU’s centralized online recruitment management software system designed to help employers effectively connect with FAU, students, and alumni to achieve their recruiting goals. Handshake is a free service we provide to employers:
** Third-Party Employer Policy webpage if you are posting an employment opportunity on behalf of another organization. If you are a third-party recruiter posting a job for a client, it is required that you disclose the client name for which you are recruiting in the Job Description Box. All positions posted by third-party recruiters without the client name will be deleted from the Handshake system. Please note, before approval in Handshake, you will need to review, sign and agree to our Third-Party Agreement form, which will be emailed to you by a Career Center staff member.

Cancellations, No Shows, & Payment Policies:
All fees and changes are due two weeks before the event.
Should you need to cancel your registration, you may request a refund of your registration fee in writing two weeks prior to the event. After that date all cancellations will not receive a refund.
If you register, pay, and do not show for the Graduate School Fair, your registration fee will not be refunded. Please keep in mind there are other organizations desiring admission to the event and your no show may prohibit other organizations from participating. Additionally, should you register for the event and not pay, and then do not show for the event, you will still be responsible for paying the registration fee.
Any outstanding bills for previous Graduate School Fairs will prevent participation in future Career Development Center sponsored events.
The Career Development Center is not responsible for parking tickets and cannot waive or appeal them.
