Jeana (pronounced Gina, not Jenna!) grew up in a small Northern Wisconsin town, but being a cheese hater AND a snow hater didn't make life easy in Wisconsin. FAU and the shores of South Florida finally called her away from the cold in June of 2013.
Jeana received her Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Nutrition, and Coaching from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and her Master of Science degree in Recreation Management and Policy from the University of New Hampshire. She started her journey in collegiate recreation at UW-L as a Special Event Supervisor, continued with a summer internship at Valparaiso University, and recently finished a graduate assistantship at UNH.
She has a huge love for NIRSA and has enjoyed serving on the Student Leadership Team, presenting at regional and annual conferences, and spending as much time as possible bonding with her NIRSA colleagues.
When it's time for play, Jeana enjoys tossing kettlebells, mud races, beach time, cooking, baking, and kickin' it with her super cool cats, Theo and Macie!
