Broward QEP

Third Annual Broward Student Research Symposium
March 15, 2013 | 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. | Davie West

QEP This event features research activities of Broward graduate and undergraduate students and gives student researchers the opportunity to experience presenting research (planned or ongoing) or course projects. In addition to the awarding of prizes, the event provides a forum for student interaction with faculty and peers while showcasing their work. The event is part of the University’s Distinction through Discovery Quality Enhancement Plan.

Interested students must submit an electronic abstract between February 1 and 22, 2013. Thesis and dissertation work, individual and group ongoing or planned research and course projects are all appropriate. Options for the day include poster, multimedia and 10-minute oral presentations.

Broward Undergraduate Research Awards

QEPDuring the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semesters, $3,500 was awarded to select Broward undergraduate students involved in research and nominated by the faculty member with whom they worked. Awardees are asked to produce a summary description of their work at the end of the semester and are encouraged to participate in the Broward Research Symposium scheduled for March 22, 2013. This program was possible because of a one-time allocation from the Florida Department of Education to strengthen “2+2” partnerships and is part of the University’s Distinction through Discovery Quality Enhancement Plan.
