Kathryn L. Johnston teaches courses in voice, speech, and accents at FAU. She is a Certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework,  a Certified Teacher of Knight – Thompson Speechwork, and utilizes those methodologies as well as those by Kristin Linklater and Patsy Rodenburg to help her students find and best use their own unique, authentic voice.

Kathryn has served as the primary voice/accent coach for FAU productions for over a decade and has coached professionally for Theatre Lab at FAU, M&M Productions, Naked Stage, Island City Stage, Caldwell Theatre, Mosaic Theatre, and West Boca Theatre Company.

As an actress, Kathryn has appeared in productions in New York, Washington D.C, and the South Florida area, and is a member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA, and VASTA.
