Arts and Letters Advisory Board
Graduate Student Grants
The Graduate Programs Committee of the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, with the financial support of the College Advisory Board, is offering research and creative activity grants to support the academic development of our student scholars and artists. This award ($500.00) will be made to an outstanding MA, MM, MFA, or PhD student to support his or her travel to present a paper or perform at a professional conference, to conduct research, to fund equipment and/or materials needs, to mount an exhibition, etc. This award must be used by June 30, 2017.
By the date of application, the applicant must be a full-time student in good standing with the program and with a minimum 3.5 GPA. The applicant must submit a short, one-page statement of purpose stating how he or she would use the grant, a copy of his or her unofficial transcript, and letter of support from a professor or adviser.
Awardees will be selected by the College Scholarships Committee. Applicants will be notified by the middle of November. Please complete the following application by October 26, 2016.
