Curriculum Vitae

"Dr.prof.hab. Palina Prysmakova is an Associate Professor of public administration, Florida Atlantic University, and a Visiting Professor of the Faculty of Economics, University of Warsaw. She joined IRSPM in 2013.

Palina has been a core professor of the Master's of nonprofit management program at FAU teaching from fundraising to accounting to taxation. Together with her students, she is actively engaged in community education, where they consulted over 50 nonprofit organizations and associations on financial and fundraising topics. Her empirical research is published in the leading administrative journals and covers various financial topics like public procurement, transparency, and performance.

She is known for her hands-on community activities and volunteering. Sharing her expertise on financial management, she has an honor to serve on the financial committee of the Rada of Belarusian Democratic Republic, which is the oldest government in exile, and also on board of many associations, including  Kresheuski Foundation, NY, and  Association of Belarusian Business Abroad, Poland. 

Palina has experience with registering nonprofit organizations in Europe and the U.S., opening and maintaining their bank accounts, preparing budgets and reports. In addition to her native tongues, she speaks French and German, and spends a lot of time in Europe.

Palina was nominated by IRSPM members for Treasurer last year. She was asked to withdraw her candidacy by the IRSPM President Ileana Steccolini. Since cooptation by nomination did not go through, Palina hopes to win the elections this time around."
