April Ryan Lecture >> As part of the FAU commemoration of Constitution Day, White House Correspondent April Ryan participated in the Robert J. Bailyn Symposium on the First Amendment. Ryan was part of a panel discussing “Fake News and the Modern Presidency.” The panel was moderated by Kevin Wagner, professor of Political Science, and other panel members included Rick Christie, editorial page editor at the  Palm Beach Post ; Rosemary O’Hara, editorial page editor at the  Sun Sentinel;  Tom O’Hara, former managing editor of the  Cleveland Plain Dealer;  and Ilene Prusher, FAU Journalism Instructor.

>> Claudia Faust is a senior in Multimedia Broadcast Journalism. She was a sports intern at NBC4 in Washington D.C. this past summer where she had the opportunity to interview players and coaches from the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Redskins, and D.C. United.Claudia also  previously interned at ESPN West Palm, WPTV Channel 5, FAU Athletics, and she is  currently the Sports Director at Owl TV.  More…

Gerald Sim >> Gerald Sim, School of Communication and Multimedia Studies, has been selected to participate in the Television Academy Foundation’s 2017 Faculty Seminar Program. Members of the Television Academy selected just 25 professors from colleges and universities nationwide for the annual program.    Read more...

Hancock>>  Corey Hancock, BA Political Science 2002: While at FAU Corey participated in study abroad programs in Spain and Ecuador. He then earned a Masters in Spanish at FAU before joining the Peace Corps, which stationed him in Bolivia. Corey learned one of the native languages of Bolivia, Quechua, while working on projects in the mountains of the Andean country.
