University Status

To the FAU community:

The National Weather Service (NWS) has forecast severe weather for all of FAU’s service regions through Wednesday, June 6.

The main effects will be heavy rainfall, localized flooding, and strong gusty winds. There is also the possibility of isolated tornadoes.

Certain activities could be affected. These may include:

  • Outdoor and marine activities
  • Athletic events
  • Diving and boating under the auspices of the University

Use caution when traveling and monitor the National Weather Service websites for Broward/Palm Beach and Harbor Branch areas for information. Be aware of all warnings and take appropriate action when necessary. You are also encouraged to turn on the “Government Alerts” feature on your phone, if available, to receive NWS tornado alerts in real-time.
